Program Announcements

This information was sent out as a post on various Kansas library listservs tonight, but it’s worth reposting here:

A few logistics announcements for the 23 Things Kansas program that begins next Monday, January 11 (missed the 23 Things announcements and don’t know what it is? See the About page for more information:):

  1. If you haven’t registered to participate, it isn’t too late. Register online here. Over 300 Kansas public, school, academic, and special librarians have already signed up to participate. How exciting!
  2. The list of tools that was promised has been released, and can be seen here. Depending on your filtering situation, you still might run into hiccups with some site access that the different lessons will use each week, but hopefully having this list might help alleviate some of those problems.
  3. A separate Google Group for 23 Things Kansas has been set up as an email discussion listserv, to hopefully keep the chatter low on the various library listservs throughout the state. All those that have already registered should receive invites/already be members in the next day. If you do not receive an invite/welcome announcement to the group, and believe that you have registered already, you can either email 23thingsks@gmail.com to request to be added to the group, or, if you want, request access here: http://groups.google.com/group/23thingsks/subscribe?note=1. You’ll need to have a Google account set up in order to request access.
  4. If you weren’t aware, a Facebook Fan Page has been set up for 23 Things Kansas. Check it out and become a Fan.

Hope you all continue to be as excited about the program’s launch as we all are!
